Kickstarter- THERE IS A MOON: BIG update!!! <3

Hey yall!

I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. I've spent mine gearing up to make some very important announcements!

Last week, I flew to Texas for three days and worked with David Castell to finish the mixing/mastering of my album. It was a long time coming, but we pretty much wrapped it up. I have to say, David has been an absolute gift. He has gone above and beyond for me and for this project, and I cannot express enough gratitude! If any of yall need mixing or mastering for any musical project, he's your dude!

The album sounds incredible, more than what I could have possibly hoped for, and I cannot believe that it is finished! I honestly feel like I'm living in a dream world, but I am thrilled to announce that There Is A Moon will be officially released on January 12, 2017!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who are keeping up with the project, but have not ordered a CD yet, you can pre-order your copy HERE.

And another big announcement.... I will be having an Album Pre-Release Concert on December 29, 2016 at Poor David's Pub in Dallas!

Those of you who contributed to my Kickstarter and purchased tickets, you will have special reserved seats at this show! If you purchased tickets, but are unable to make it on December 29th, I will be playing more in Dallas, hopefully as soon as February, and you can redeem your tickets at a later date.

For those of you who have not purchased tickets yet, but would like to attend, you can order those HERE.

If you have purchased and are waiting for a CD, you can pick them up at the concert, or they will be mailed out in January.

Thank you all again so so much for your support, patience, understanding, love, encouragement, and excitement. That is all what has kept me going in this wild roller coaster of a year. I would also like to ask any of you who are in Dallas and see either of my parents regularly, please give them a big hug and a thank you for me. They have been unbelievably helpful and instrumental in the completion of this album, and I can't tell them enough how appreciative I am.

Please, if yall can offer the continued support of spreading word of the concert, it would be so appreciated. I would love to have a full house that night! The band is going to be incredible, and I know it's going to be a really enjoyable celebratory evening. Here is the Facebook event page, where you can RSVP and invite your friends and family.

One more fun fact for yall... In trying to decide on a meaningful release date, I realized that January 12th was also the first full moon of 2017. It seemed incredibly fitting, and I was already leaning towards that week, so I set the date. I hadn't realized though, until after booking my pre-release concert and setting my release date, that December 29th is the new moon, when there will be no visible moon in the sky. This was so incredible to me, and is absolutely no coincidence. The meaning of the title of my album, There Is A Moon, is that regardless of if we can see the moon or not, if it is completely black, or daytime, or just not visible, it is always there. There Is A Moon. It's a reminder for me that there is always light, even on the darkest nights, even if we can't look up and see it with our own eyes. So of course, how fitting to have a pre-release concert on a night with no moon, in anticipation and celebration of there being a moon just a couple of weeks after...

OKAY enough rambling. I'm a cheese ball, what can I say.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving week. Please, eat tons of turkey (or tofurky), watch lots of parades and football, drive extra safe, and laugh a lot! This is a beautiful season, and I wish you all the happiest of times.

If you have any questions for me, please send me an email at scarlettdeering@gmail.com or contact me through my Facebook page.

P.S. I did this goofy video cover of "Futures" by Jimmy Eat World a couple of weeks ago. Check it out!

Okay. I love you all. Thank you. Stay well. Be safe. <3 <3 <3
